With its unique cut this red Garnet, or as we like to call it, the ‘’fire of the Nile’’… provides the perfect central focus for our Candace necklace. Named after the Ancient Queens of the Kush Empire in modern-day Sudan, this vivid 3ct Umba Garnet is complemented by six beautiful accent diamonds.
Popular in every ancient civilisation, the blood-red Garnet was believed to bring invulnerability to wounds, enhance awareness on the battlefield and carry faith. With such a strong history and root in Africa, we could not name our Red Garnet after anyone other than the ancient Saharan queens of Nubia, the Candace dynasty.
